Annotation: In Spain, long ago, old man Alanzo Quixano obsesses over tales of knighthood and chivalry. He dons an old suit of armor and wanders the country in search of adventures with his friend Sancho.
Personal thoughts: A colorful and good spirited adaptation of Cervantes' giant novel, The Last Knight makes for easy reading and includes beautiful artwork by the famous Will Eisner, the father of graphic novels. The book makes for a good introduction for older readers, who can later tackle the classic original while the illustrations and caricatures are witty and amusing. Eisner throws in a cameo by author Miguel de Cervantes and ends on a high note on the virtues of dreams and belief that leave the reader is excellent spirits. This was my first Will Eisner book and I can see why he is a master of the craft.
